Forensic Workflow Management Modules

Dead Body Management System
This is the comprehensive forensic specific dead body management system. It has the features to register all the cases/ bodies coming to the Digital Autopsy Diagnostics Station Facility. This could be hospital death or non hospital death cases, Known or anonymous cases. This is fully integrated with finger print reader and MyKad reader to automate the process of registration, avoid subjective errors and to be prepared for the casualties/fatalities of mass disasters.
Tomography Management System
This is a comprehensive Forensic specific Tomography Management system for Radio-technician. Radio Technician will be instantly notified of the cases registered and assigned to doctors through the INFODADS™ Notifier. The module has the work list function which shows all the cases requiring Whole Body Scanning can schedule them, re-schedule if necessary and once the Whole Body Scanning is completed, The system perform QC check and quick and easy measurement of the number of raw DICOM images with display of transfer time. All the DICOM images generated by the modality are transferred to the server automatically. Images are parsed on the server and get stored in hierarchical manner. The system will distribute the DICOM files after retrieving from the server and create .dcm directory to be displayed/viewed on the visualization work station. Hence the system govern and control the entire process of body scanning till the point of DICOM data being stored securedly in the Storage Network System.
Forensic Medical Sciences Modules

Digital Autopsy Software System
- INFODADS™ LDM system: for efficient management of large output data of the Whole Body Scanning.
- INFODADS™ DICOM parser: This is in-built into the module so that Forensic pathologist can upload external DICOM images for 3D reconstruction & analysis.
Forensic pathologist has the option to do a friendly set-up of slice stack up to at least 2000 images with reconstruction time of not more than 2 minutes. The system has forensic specific 3D, MPR and 2D capabilities of which can be navigated easily using user friendly navigational tools. Forensic Pathologist is able to carry following described functionalities like MIP (Maximum Intensity Projection), SSD (Shaded Surface Display) and reformatting of the Digital Body. The Digital Autopsy Software System runs on the visualization workstation display matrix of UltraSharp(TM) 30" Flat Panel LCD Monitor (Analog & DVI): 2560 X 1600, with 1.5GB NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 Graphic Card, as well as DADS™ Smart LCD Screen. DADS™ Smart LCD Screen allows Forensic Pathologist to examine digital representations of real bodies in minute detail by manipulating digital bodies using touch and finger gestures similar to procedures in the classical autopsy.

Disaster Victim Identification
Forensic Exhumation
The workflow and objective of this module are the same as those of a medico-legal investigation of a recently deceased person, and is in compliance to United Nations Protocol for the disinterment and analysis of skeletal remains. The workflow serves as a comprehensive checklist of the steps in an exhumation. The system enables the input of details of digital sketches & images-still & video. It has provision for serial chronological visualisation of work area: pre-work & post-work and collection of information that will establish the identity of the deceased, the time and place of death, the cause and the mode of death.
Forensic Histopathology is the application of histological techniques and examination to forensic pathology practice. This system is integrated with histopathological equipments which perform rapid processing of tissues within hours using less number of relatively non- toxic chemicals. The module workflow records the various stages of preparation of cassette and slides which will be based on user defined protocols for workflow optimization and data consistency. The image analysis capability of the system also allows the researchers to use image analysis to automate and standardize their studies. User can view digital slides from any workstation on the network, instantly pan and zoom to any region of the slide, view multiple digital slides concurrently, apply image adjustments in real time for contrast, brightness, and gamma, add graphical and text annotations to digital slides. Use the built-in ruler to make on the spot measurements.
Crime Scene Investigation
Forensic Entomology
Forensic entomology is the study of insects & arthropods such as mites and ticks that form part of the evidence in medico-legal cases. Knowledge of the distribution, biology and behavior of insects found where a body has been discovered can assist forensic investigation by providing information on when, where, and how, under certain conditions, a crime was committed or a person died and estimation of the post-mortem interval. The system provides a workflow management, for best practice in forensic entomology and is in compliance to the European Board of Forensic Entomology guidelines. It includes inventory management of equipments used for collection of entomological evidence and a detailed data collection and analysis, build Image library of frequently occurring & forensically relevant insects & maggots for comparison with unknown of present case, and in-house developed I2C Image matching algorithm for feature comparison, analysis & conclusion (larva, in-stars & adults).
Forensic Diatomology
Forensic Diatomology is a study of diatoms in relation to medico-legal cases. It is challenging for Forensic pathologists in dealing with dead bodies found in water where the circumstances are not cler. The system enables workflow management in diatomology analysis, by capturing details in sample collection, preservation and preparation and analysis. The system records the microscopic diatom analysis: Quantitative (diatom density), Qualitative (species) and Morphological (description of diatom valves) details for every sample. Furthermore the species index and dominance identity similarity indices can be calculated during the analysis procedure by proprietary built-in algorithms.
Post-Mortem Forensic Toxicology determines the absence or presence of drugs and their metabolites, chemicals such as ethanol and other volatile substances, carbon monoxide and other gases, metals, and other toxic chemicals in human fluids and tissues, and evaluates their role as a determinant or contributory factor in the cause and manner of death. The system is designed to be in compliance to American Academy of Forensic Sciences/Society of Forensic Toxicology (AAFS/SOFT) Guidelines. The workflow tracks the samples collected from the body fluids or personal belongings and maintains the chain of custody with time date stamp, right through their preparation, run through LCMSMS, GCMS and finally until analysis. It has an integrated library of spectra of forensically relevant drugs (e.g. GCMS Mass Spectral Library, NIST Library, Drugs and Metabolites Spectra database) to identify the unknown drug in the sample. The report generated in lines with the ASCLD-LAB prescribed format.
Microbiology Analysis and Management System
The system is designed to be inline with the guidelines of Scientific Working Group for DNA Analysis Methods (SWGDAM). The workflow is inclusive of Sample Accessioning, Sample Analysis, Data Interpretation, Quality Testing, Matching and Statistic. The module can cater for following scenarios wherein DNA testing is carried out in Forensic settings, such as to profile victims of violent crimes; to profile unidentified remains; PM paternity testing; Family reference samples; Sibling relationships; Insurance; Inheritance and ancestry testing; Genetic disease tracking and Immigration testing.
